Flower
I am watching that sunflower bloom in a field of red roses,
And the light igniting on the lonely and the broken.
I watch them as they inhale the beauty, and exhale the poison.
I am watching the seed grow into a beautiful forest,
And the hope blooming within their branches.
I am watching and I am living—
living in the moments where children once again play,
And beach balls are being tossed up into the air
Waiting for the inevitable to happen.
And I realize that this is the world and this is us.
The inevtiables, the oblivious, the beautiful, and the dreamers.
I am watching this black and white world being colored.
I am watching and I sit, smiling with the others.
