Fragile Bridges
Two islands are divided by the great river
The two sides act united
But are only separated by fragile bridges
We do not share sides
She is my Juliet
We can only meet on those fragile bridges
One day the islands went to war
I did not want to abandon my love
But we could not cross the fragile bridges
So as her side built their walls
And our side was burned to the ground
We learned to avoid the fragile bridges
We sailed down the river dividing us
And we kissed in the moonlight
As our parents burned our fragile bridges
