Rooftop Memories
lit up by a full moon
The cold air clung to us the way we did each other.
The air made us vulnerable
not caring what was below or above the roof we lay upon
intimate moments were shared for the first time.
our hearts rushing then
and now, as we recall the memories
a scared girl and a confident boy made
their own memories in a dark corner of the world
This is a night
that we will remember for the rest of our lives
what we saw
what we did
what we shared
it was just like a movie.
The girl can still feel his lips
The boy can still hear the screams of laughter
there's a first time for everything
and they left it all on the school rooftop.

I wrote this about one of my most favorite nights. So much was shared and done for the first time. It was wonderful and a night I will never forget.
