Pumpkins, mums, and cornstalks galore.
Picking up candy from the corner store.
Cobwebs, ghosts, and goblins too,
Hoping to scare and frighten you.

Red and yellow leaves fall to crisp ground,
Sneaking up stealthily, not making a sound.
Witches, bats in the autumnal air,
Crackling and screeching, they give us a scare.

Carving the pumpkins and roasting the seeds,
Handing out candy, meets little ones needs.
Tootsie-rolls, lollipops, may rot out their teeth,
Skeletons shaking in cold ground beneath.
