Sometimes I fail to remind myself I'm worth it
Some days feel like I'm on top of the world
and other days I feel like i'm being drowned by my thoughts

I dread the night
1 AM and I can't sleep
2 AM now I'm crying
3 AM why do I feel so alone
4 AM still not Asleep
It's like my thoughts come alive once the sun goes down and I get into bed

Like me trying to sleep revives them from their state of unconsciousness
They remind me of the names I would get called
Or how bad my ex boyfriend hurt me
How at 13 years old I had no self worth
Or how he left me for another girl

No matter how long ago this took place
I've never forgotten about it
But now I work on bettering myself
So maybe one day
I'll never fail to remind myself I’m worth it
