As the Leaves Fall
October 26, 2016
One by one,
the leaves fall.
Two by two,
they land on the ground.
Three by three,
can’t you see?
Four by four,
the leaves change.
Five by five,
floating down.
Six by six,
fall has arrived.
Seven by seven,
red and orange fill the trees.
Eight by eight,
what a sight.
Nine by nine,
I don’t want it to end.
Ten by ten,
all the leaves have fallen.
Zero by zero,
winter is here.
