Sneaking through my yard,

I heard a loud noise, a snap.
I turned around and to see
an evil looking rooster running
towards me.
He had eyes
like the sun, full of fire and hate.
It looked as if he had just caught
his dinner because he had a red crimson liquid
on his beak.

He cased me with such speed I could barely
see him. Once caught up to me, he jumped up,
wings flapping,
and kick boxed my legs, leaving
two large scrapes of blood.
After that he tried to heard me like one of his hens.

I ran to the garage where I find sanctuary
away from the rooster
that wants to protect his hens from me. 
I realize he doesn’t
want to hurt me
he is only being a father.
