Life Jacket MAG
I ride you through the bends
On shattered glass
Love dripping into my veins
Like a hose filling up an aquarium
Just a small killing
Swept under the rug like the dog’s toy
Liquid silver fills my lungs
Candles dance in the wind
Laughter no longer swarms the air
And smiles have been sewn shut
So down the road we travel
Small talk entwines us
The hairs on our arms touch one another
Tickle against our bare skin
Sinking into your poisonous grasp
This damn clock never seems to expire
Happiness is like a black cat
Sitting on a window sill
And we are like a sailboat
That never sails
Lay me down
And wait for me to come back to you
