Your aunt has deceased.

I stop dead      in my tracks.

A sudden bolt
of shock

me

Half dies
Half cries in pain

January 16th, 2009
The funeral

The sound,
The smell
of death
c r e e p s
towards me

A regret
enters my mind.

Why wasn’t I nicer to her?

I scream like a lion
And pound my chest
Like a gorilla
Hoping she will come back
But nothing comes back

All I see
is a p o

                          s
filled with sorrow, shock, sadness.

I pray
she will    
      SHINE 
like a star
in heaven

I pray
She will live
in peace,
in happiness

I call her name
for the
last time. 

Then

I let
her

go.
