Death is unrelenting
I know this to be true: death is unrelenting
Through the years, always watching always waiting
You think you are ready
The weight of the pills pulling you away
You try to call death
You think you want it
But death locks the door behind you
Only when it is too late you call back
Reaching for the hopes behind you
Slipping away like water through your hands
You grasp for the light
The light you longed to leave
But now you find the hope you missed
The light you wanted to keep
The friends you thought had given up
But I know this to be true: death is always watching
