I’ve Come to the conclusion I’m the most blessed person in the world. I only say that because I’ve gotten to learn what true friendship was at very young age.
My dog Butch is a sixteen year old black lab that I’ve had since I can remember. He’s helped me through a lot of stuff between my parent’s divorce and anything else that was troubling me, He’s been there to give me a big smile and lots of love.
Recently I got the news we are going to have to put him to sleep. It’s hard for him to do basic things such as walk or even eat and drink. It’s hard to watch my best friend struggle, I wish I could be there for him like he always has for me, but sadly this is out of my control and I just have to watch him be miserable for his last days.
I can’t imagine being without my bestfriend but I know it’s best for him and me, I can’t watch him suffer anymore. He means way too much to me for me to keep him.
Friends come and go but best friends can never be replaced.
