Distribution of comfort
With a silence lingering in the night
Rigid and deep, it digs into my side
Like a dagger freshly sharpened
Blood trickling down my unshaved leg
Fluttering on each hair
Every kiss you give
light flashes before my eyes
I crouch down onto my boney knees
Hands intertwined
And beg for you to set me free
We are like a car waiting to crash
That gasping moment before you let go
tangled up with each other
Your bare skin rubbing against mine
So my darling, my light in the night
Untangle me from you
Bandage me up, one last time
touch my chapped lips
And breathe the word--
Goodbye
