The Boy
You.
So many faces, yet all I see is you.
You are tall, so tall I always feel protected.
Your eyes are brown and are so, so kind.
Whenever you think about something you poke your bottom lip out, and I can't help but smile.
You are warm and when you wrap your arms around me evedrything is better.
You are strong, so strong when you hug me I come back together again.
You always ask if I want anything to eat.
You are smart, but you don't always realize it.
You are my best friend, but I'm not sure if I'm yours.

I wrote this piece when I was in love, or so I thought, with the idea of this perfect boy. I realize how ridiculous my feelings sound but I feel like many girls have gone through the same thing then later realize they are wrong. I still like this piece, although, because it reminds me of beautiful ignorance, so that is why I am submitting it.
