Dream
She was elegant, the kind you rarely see,
was it a gown, or some divine covering?
She was smiling when her veil half flew
AH! That accelerated my heart to infinity.
I got up from my bed, to the world of tress
Not near the oak nor behind the pine
could i grasp that angel on earth
Little did she know, all i wanted was to know her secrets!
There's a breeze and my soul awakens
She's there in her white gown floating on the bare earth
Her beauty gave life to fallen leaves
Can she fulfill my wish of being as elegant as her
I think she heard my wish
for she comes closer and closer
I fear for myself, will she tell me her secret?
or perhaps have i made her angry?
She comes closer, closer than i imagine
Her hands move past my face like a caressing mother
And then she wispers, ' Oh dear child,
do never crave to be like an other, for you are a miracle that needs no other'

My intention with this piece of poetry is that i want every one of us to realise that we are perfect as ourselves. There is no need to crave to be like some other person. We are made this way because there can be no better version of us. Embrace yourselves, there is much more in you than you have yet discovered.
thank you.
