Is difficult
And wonderful
And confusing
And amazing

My imagination
Creates feelings
That I don’t know how to feel
Discovers people
Before I do
Writes stories
That I can’t put into words
Paints pictures
I couldn’t copy if I tried
Solves problems
Before I knew there were any

I can’t explain
The things that go on there
The new worlds I create
The dreams I dream
The people that end up there

What goes on there
None of it is real
If I could explain it
I wouldn’t

I don’t want to explain
Everything that’s colorful
Everything that’s not
Everything that’s happy
Everything that’s not
It’s all for me

My imagination
Is not under my control
And I love it
