HIdden
They say she is perfect;
She hides it well.
Buried by the depression and anxiety,
She crumbles every night and day.
Yet they don’t seem to see,
The sorrow behind her lies.
Her friends say she is a snake;
Never know when she’ll bite.
So small and frail,
But deadly at the core.
She’ll try and be nice,
And enchant you into her world.
A beautiful mystery;
God’s mighty creation.
Driven by sports,
To distract herself.
Different from all of them,
And she still gives everything her best.
She feels like a mat;
Always walked on.
They don’t realise,
She sits on the floor.
While they’re just laughing,
She stays and keeps on screaming.

I was inspired by my past and the depression and anxiety I used to suffer from. I hope that this gives off a relatable feeling as I know how hard it is to believe you're not the only one.
