The Pirate of the Sea

Have you heard the tale of the Pirate of the Sea

It really does frighten me

With bones full of marrow

His name just happens to be Sparrow

With one quick swoop he broke the bank

And made off with dozens of rakes!

He swung from a rope up way high

All without telling a lie

He shouted once he shouted twice

"You'll never catch me cause I have lice!"

Then he was hit by a pigeon or two and falling off the rope he had a double take

Down he fell until he hit the calm ocean wake

Where there he lies

Guarding some pies!

And that's the tale of the Pirate of the Sea

That still does make me scream

The author's comments:

This just another random poem I wrote when I was bored one day. This is also the heavily edited version of the poem. I decided to go for a pirate theme because when I wrote this poem I was reading the book "Treasure Island" and that was kind of the inspiration behind the pirate theme of the poem. The last line "That still does make me scream" came from me reading the original copy of the poem it was so corny it lira really made me scream. Overall I hope people enjoy this work of sorta art.
