The Big City
Fueled by a new energy,
Walking the concrete below me.
I look above the heads of hundreds,
To see the lights and dreams in abundance.
"The Big Apple", so it is called,
And so in love I seemed to fall.
The memories and stories I have made,
Carry a strength within me that will never fade.
The world isn't small and I am never blind,
To the wonders of existing in an Empire State of Mind.
