Hurricane

Raindrops fall from my eyes
Slithering like snakes down my cheeks
I feel planted into the ground as if I were a wilting flower
Unable to move,
Only dying as the time passes

Drops of blood on my skin
Like morning dew on the grass
Slowly I fall deeper into depression
Like leaves in autumn falling to the ground

Then I saw her walking past
With eyes like the sky
And a smile like sunshine
I loved her like the moon loved the night

Like the stars love to shine
Like the crickets love to chirp

Our love was stronger
Than the current in a river
Sending us down the stream of happiness

She grabbed her hand in mine
Sending a surge of lighting into my heart

A hurricane of happiness
That would last forever
Even when we break apart
