the smell of clean cotton
vase full of roses
cashed out parents' wallets;
Pretty Pink gown
bought for one night only.
sixteen candles
vanilla frosting
rosy cheeks on girls
in their million dollar red bottoms
pointed cameras and fake giggles
tempted to ditch
for cigarettes and bottles full
bitter, painful;
don't forget to hide the tag
for one night only.

more than what I'm worth
I wonder
do I fit in yet?
my nails are colored
