Ode to Sriracha

A true sauce from the heavens.

You are pure fire on my tongue.
Your heat, mixed with your slight sweet and sour taste,
is the perfect combination.
Your squirt bottle gives me the perfect amount of sauce
to maximize your perfection.
And you give my taste buds the flavor they need.

Can any other sauce be better than you?
Can they come close to your flavor?
I don’t think so.

It adds a special zing whether I’m eating hamburgers, hotdogs, or chicken
and a spice like no other.
Your bright red chili color might intimidate your consumers,
but you alter the taste of food,
which grants it the life it needs.

A true sauce from the heavens.
You give me the spice I need.

@TuxTwo This is an amazing piece of literature! I hope you consider writing more poems about food so that our mouths can water even more!

@TuxTwo I love this poem and I think you are a very talented man/woman. This poem makes me think how special sriracha sauce is and how we shouldn't take it for granted. There are people in this world who have never tasted the heavenly sauce or can't afford it. I think this poem should be given to everybody in the world so that people can finally see what there life is about.
