8 Lanes of Support
My family is the track that I run on,
My mother would be the blocks,
Someone that helped me get my good start in life.
My sister is the spikes on my cleats,
To help my form,
and to get my lead.
My nephew would be the lanes,
There to keep me in my place,
But one for every personality he has.
My gram is the baton,
she is pretty sturdy herself,
but sometimes needs a family to help her stay that way.
And my dad,
My dad is the high jump,
There to always go higher,
And to achieve his goals and cherish the rest.
Coach Laird… he would be the stands,
One of my biggest supporters,
Wouldn’t be where I am without him.
And I of course, am the runner,
Making sure I don’t let anyone down,
And to always make people proud.
Oh, and my dreams,
They’re the finish line.
Some of my biggest goals.
