Aluminum Chair This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

There’s a boy in my English class
Collar bone, ivy stone
Twisted from the claws that press
From underneath your skin
Watching him fold back
Into the aluminum chair
While he lets words like sour rain
Pour from his sternum and into
Those cracked scars in his skin
