A Note to Lost Love
‘Twas not more than coincidence of fate
We were never meant to be
A hapless phenomenon
an uncalled for chance
We weren’t the ones we intended to find
We were but bystanders in
each other's stories
And as bystanders we were
fated to depart
Paths crossed must soon be uncrossed
and left in our pasts
I never really loved you
‘Twas a trick of the light
So now my fellow wanderer
I must bid you adieu
And wave you back into oblivion
As I continue to find the one
who is true
