Ashes
Ashes, ashes, we all fall down.
My sister used to sing that song, before she killed herself.
I guess I'm not too shocked right now.
I probably should've told someone,
when I saw those rusted lines all over her thighs.
But who could turn on their oldest sister,
the only one that was supposed to always be there?
I didn't even cry when I found out.
I don't understand why she did it,
why she left me.
But I forgive her anyways.
It's not her fault,
everyone drove her away.
I think about following her,
but I also know that's her biggest fear.
Doesn't she see she left me alone?
I guess she doesn't care.
Maybe we're all just meant to be blown away,
kind of like ashes.
Isn't that funny?
Ashes, ashes, we all fall down.

This was made during a dark time of my life when I thought about ending my own life. I had a dream my sister found me, thus lead to Ash.
