What Crime Did I Commit?

I’m not sure why I do it
I’m not sure why anyone feels the need to punish themselves
it’s not right, each night a different punishment
it could be cutting, or throwing up, or drinking
either way it hurts all the same
but the relief is immediate
relief from what, i don't know
i don’t deserve this
what crime did I commit?
why do I need to punish myself?
