Lost in the Darkness
I have found my self lost many times in my short seventeen years
lost in the way my sorrows can drown me
their waves crashing down, suffocating my happiness
like my words, when they can't seem to find a way to escape the never ending hole, that is my mouth
lost from my so called friends, who cling to me like leeches, silently sucking out all my kindness
leaving me empty and broken
like the way I am unable to find home, even when I'm laying in my bed
longing for the place I know exists, but can never seem to locate
like those times I was in a sea full of people, searching for anyone to chase away my loneliness
but was swept under the waves instead
because my mind is like a black hole, sucking everything in
all the happiness, and good times, lay in a graveyard at its base
while all the dark thoughts and pain roam its entrance
leaving me searching the dark for any ounce of light
