What are dreams I always wondered

Are they stories of long forgotten

An alternate future from an alternate world

A message, a meaning, a forbidden song

A secret past, a life that never happened

An idea, an invention, or some weird contraption

A theory, a fantasy, or what could have happened

A stimulation or a simulation for a mind

A love, a hate, a fear, a time

I do not know and I never will

But dreams are a hope that is to hold

And dreams are a reason to live

And dreams are what made the world as we know it today

I'm happy I dream and you do too
