Red – his hands are red when he returns

White – his skin is white against his burns
Blue – the lights are flashing in his face
Black – there are screams he cannot place
Grey – the colour on his cheeks
Yellow – he cannot hear against the shrieks
Peace – it is this that he seeks

This piece was written about the war on terror in the middle east from the eyes of a little boy driven mad by the fighting.
