Hands clenched
And eyes squinted
Tears rolled past freckled skin
Light beaming off a glossy tear
Flickering in her ethereal eyes
Thoughts scattered in her mind
Pacing down pale hallways
Staring at bleach white walls
Patients, Doctors, Families
Awaiting dreadful news
Seconds becomes hours
Everything becomes a blur
Life passes her by
So short and quick
Yet fulfilling
Each memory coated in nostalgia
Giggles and smiles fade
But eternal happiness remains
Each moment savored
As we fade away
