art should disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed

Persona

It's what we show

To the biting world of reality

Harsh truths bring harsher lies

What you see isn't what you get

So many layers to a robot

How many to a person?

We aren't the same

Robots aren't two-faced

Only one metallic expression of wonder

Gears turning in our minds

Creating the simple thought process

That everyone shares

A collective unconcious

If gears are turning in our minds

What is turning in our hearts?

For those of us that have one

Robots have parts

Tin bodies run by oil

Also known as gears

Then we also have gears

As human beings

Are we robots

Or are robots human

Who is more humane?

A robot is a fake afterall

They don't carry out the simple thought processes we do

And the simple thought processes aren't humane

They are crue and manipulative

Twisting our reality into a biting world

We can't see it happening

But it's all we know

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than I

Great thought-provoking poem! :)
