Snapped
When you get ready to take a picture, it's a process, isn't it?
Powder your nose, put on some rogue and some blush, darken your lips and do up your hair.
Put on a dress- you mustn't be comfortable now- and a pair of heels.
Screw up your face, turn up your mouth and wrinkle your brow.
Think about something funny to make the lens think you're anything but miserable.
What is a photograph?
It only captures the shallow, not the depth.

I truly hate having my picture taken- The process makes me feel pretty, but like the girl in the photograph is someone other than the standard, everyday me. Why can't we just take pictures without that standard? Wouldn't we be even prettier? Real beauty lies in the smile that we put on for the average circumstances, whether it's a gruesome laugh at a poor joke we made ourselves or seeing a bird in the sky.
