I don't matter
No one can say that
They have seen me contribute to the world
I do not
Consider others first
Act positively or
Help those that need it most
It's too hard to
Some people will think
My generation is lazy because
Of only a few people trying to change the world
I am one
That will be remembered for nothing great
Someone that wastes time on the phone
Not
Someone who is destined for a great legacy
That's just who I am

I read a poem with this format once upon a time ago and was blown away by it. This is my first successful attempt and that is a self decided success. The first read through from top to bottom is what I and many other teens think. How we view ourselves. The second read through from bottom to top is how we should be looking at ourselves because simply smiling at someone may help them get through the day, making our world a much happier place. It's that easy. We. All. Matter.
