I don't matter

No one can say that

They have seen me contribute to the world

I do not

Consider others first

Act positively or

Help those that need it most

It's too hard to

Some people will think

My generation is lazy because

Of only a few people trying to change the world

I am one

That will be remembered for nothing great

Someone that wastes time on the phone

Not

Someone who is destined for a great legacy

That's just who I am

...

Now please read from bottom to top.

The author's comments:

I read a poem with this format once upon a time ago and was blown away by it. This is my first successful attempt and that is a self decided success. The first read through from top to bottom is what I and many other teens think. How we view ourselves. The second read through from bottom to top is how we should be looking at ourselves because simply smiling at someone may help them get through the day, making our world a much happier place. It's that easy. We. All. Matter.
