What does it represent

As I look straight out

it seems so clear

but as I look right in

somhow it fades

with every breath you try to keep

tug, tug

and again and again

just another day, another century

passes before your eyes

what does it mean

what does it feel like

is it what I mean

or is it why

why is it there

why do I think

think about something I don't even remember

something - it always disappears

but it will come back

I may not see

but I may always, always imagine
