Forever Saying Yes

All I ever said was
No
No
No
Until the day I met you.
I thought I was safe with no plans and no where to go
But you brought me into the light,
And now I don't want to rest.
I want experience to match my knowledge,
I want time spent on me,
And memories made with me.
And I wanted you to give me a reason to stay
But no words hung from your lips.
And when I was asked to take the leap
For someone else,
I said what I learned the day I met you.
And I bet that 'Yes' rings in your ears
Every time you wake up alone.
