What I Would Say
Slip out of your worries,
Leave them on the floor,
There is no doubt
That you leave me wondering;
The way you formulate thoughts,
Things I would’ve never considered.
Slip out of your worries;
Leave them at the door.
Tell me the good parts of your day,
The parts you’ve been itching to share,
I wanna see your eyes sparkle,
I wanna see your smile widen.
Slip out of your worries;
Pretend we’re at the shore,
Picture us wading,
And splashing,
And laughing,
As the cool waves lap against our feet,
As your warm hand holds mine.
Slip out of your worries,
I would say,
If you were here.
Physically,
You are oh so far,
But mentally,
You are near.

We tend to hold back from saying things in the moment, but regret them afterwards. Once a relationship ends, you think of how you could've improved the relationship simply by asking them little things, or by saying the right things. I hope it inspires people to appreciate who they have infront of them before it's too late.
