good bye

The sun shines bright

Like my love for you,

And each day I woke up

To believe it was true.

Like the seasons you'd change

And I found myself falling,

It would seem oh quite strange

Cuz to you I mean nothing.

Sparkling and glowing

From the snow on the ground,

The fall only brought rain

Is all that I found.

My tears shed every way

As if the month before may,

And like the sun sets each day

"Good bye" is all i could say.

This poem is also inspired by William Butler Yeats and his usual theme on love, loss, and longing in his poems. This poem is about someone falling in love with someone that is wrong for them and finally letting go.
