Serenity MAG
I gaze upon the mountains,
covered with light frost,
as if a plane flew by,
dusting them with powdered sugar.
The evergreens stand tall,
like friendly giants,
emitting a green so vibrant, so full of life.
I stand at the base of the lake,
my feet on the Martian-like rocks.
The water covers my toes,
giving them cool relief.
I look down into the lake,
and find my reflection staring right back.
The water, so clean, so pure,
like a recently polished diamond.
The birds call out,
singing songs to one and other,
and in this moment,
I discover serenity.
