Living Here is Whatever
Based on what we see and what we do, living here is whatever
It’s like you are thrown into a spot without you picking it
Either way you live you die, it is what it is.
Life sucks and you become invisible, but I see you
I see you for who you are
I see what you go through and that you are struggling
Everyone always worries, asking “Where are you headed to?”
Keep in mind & please always remember
Yes, you were thrown into a spot in life without picking it
And yes, it is what it is
But this life, you must stop thinking it is a “not”
Contain yourself and stay poised
Stop questioning what you are stepping on
Keeping moving after thinking “What the?”
Hold yourself close but so far you can see the tip
The tip of life, whatever that is made of
This life you were thrown into became your…
It became like your favorite candy… sweet, on the tip of your tongue

This poem is based on the line, "Whatever it is you are struggling to remember, it is not poised on the tip of your tongue" from the poem Forgetfulness by Billy Collins.
