I'm sorry to the next generation
Because the sea levels will keep on rising
But the amount of things we care about will keep on declining
And peoples homes are being washed away
But this is the only earth so we have to stay.

I'm sorry to the next generation
Because trees are amazing
But you won't know what trees are and that's crazy
I can't say we have tried our best
And because of us you wont get to rest.

I'm sorry to the next generation
We have failed in every way
And so you may never reach your day
We where to focused on our dates
To realize that icebergs that melt is not a good trait.

I'm sorry to the next generation
Isis won't matter if there is not enough air to breath
There are no natural materials left to retrieve
You can fight sexism, racism, and all the other ism there are
But when we die we all die equally.

I don't want to be sorry to the next generation
We still have time to change
Nature can still be in the game
Don't let it be over until we say
Let's have more then one earth day.

I don't want to be sorry to the next generation
We can't just waste away
But it has to be a collective decision we all make
We can turn this around together as a whole
But if one of us turns back then we are all screwed.

Let's not be sorry to the next generation
