Don't feel stupid if you don't like what everyone else pretends to love.

By objectifying woman,
The clothes she wears,
The words she says,
The mistakes she makes,
The passions she pours her heart into,
The way she expresses her emotions.
You are putting her self worth on the display window of a thrift store.
Throwing it used and abused into the clearance rack,
Ripped and scorned,
Rejected by others who prefer new possessions,
Shiny,
Polished,
Perfect,
New.
Our society is throwing young girls into the playing field,
Tiny quarterbacks into the sight of linebackers.
Promiscuity has become a bonus,
A price raiser.
She’s beautiful,
She’ll be bringing in the men.
She’s smart,
She’ll be respected.
Yet both,
And these girls become a threat.
Self worth is now measured by your qualities,
What you do,
Or what you look like,
Instead of who you are.
Sold off to the lowest bidder,
Donated to those of charity,
Or incarcerated in the cells of the broken.

In todays society, I hate to see women still be objectified by how they look or what they do.  We are supposed to be equal, yet we are letting these labels define how we act and how we are treated.
