Numbness

Vision blurred,
Feelings numbed,
Voice muted.
Pain begins.
Slowly,
Piece by piece,
My heart falls apart.
Pain continues.
The voices whispering around me,
They control me.
The sounds move me,
They steer me towards the end.
I can see it,
It isn't far.
Slowly, the pain starts to fade.
As I fall,
I smile.
The pain is gone.
