"You grew flowers in my lungs and even though they're beautiful, I cannot breathe."

There's nothing left but choked-back tears and a plastic smile

The bright minds but shady neighborhoods brings up bile

They are accused of more than one prejudice

While they hide behind scars and tattoos as they swallow back their selflessness

"Daddy, why can't they just leave us alone?"

"Sweetie, it's because we have a backbone."

The stars shine throughout the night

While the black sky swallows everything else in spite.

The sun greedily devours every last flash of sweat

And the thundering beast keeps it at bay with its silhouette.

Both sides grip each other's throats to keep the other from letting poison drip from their lips

Now here comes the side with the unrivaled force that creates the rules and writes the scripts.

The men, women, and children play their parts and put on their masks of discrimination

While men with bloodthirsty eyes clash on conflicting sides to which they both say that they will be send to their own damnation.

In the overwhelming feeling of malevolence, must there really be a splash of red?

Why must the memories and ties that bind us together be considered dead?

None are considered as equals even though they are

And all shine the same under the north star.

What can be the mediator

Except for the Creator?

There are of course the white

The ones who use their frosty skin to leave a bite.

There are of course are the black

The ones who use their dusty skin to pull off a guerrilla attack.

Can there be somebody or something to make everything okay?

Can there be black, white,...and gray?
