Skeleton trees and whispering leaves
Against the cracked side walk
whispers of ghouls and other things
Drawn with sidewalk chalk
As all hallows eve grown nearer still
Closer and closer it creeps
We start to see the darker side of the world we’ve come to fill,
As the dark things come out to play, the lighter ones turn gray
Although the world was nice before, we find this new one fun
Slowly, slowly we all change, and sink in to the darker ones,
As the light rise to ascension above
We start to find that this darker side, is better than the above.
