The sadness in your eyes
I have seen it before
in another soul
You could paint the sky
with colors so vivid
yet their attention is only yours
when the paint- you blotch
For the best deeds you've done
they turned a blind eye to-
and the flaws, once in a while,
the apple of their eyes
I can only tell you this;
hatred will be served on a silver platter
but reply with kindness
for you are worth
so much more
