Too Boring
She lived in a town without any stars
and no mater how far
she strained her poor eyes
it was always too late
for the sun would then rise.
She lived in a town with towers up high
so to the sky
she climbed each step and each stair
going on and on
by the suns mild flare.
She lived in a town where the windows were closed
so she supposed
she could open one, from the towers top floor
she tried, and she pried,
but it was quite a chore.
She lived in a town where chores were too boring
so, ignoring
the pressing call of the winds wistfull sound,
She stopped, and she sighed,
then she turned back around.
She lived in a town where the sun was pure gold
--or so she was told
and so she believed these obvious lies
to forget all the stars
and be blind to the skies.
