Secrets
Late in the night, it starts to lag,
  Freezing, needing some dormancy.
The light blinks out, slipping away,
Taking a break from its day’s work,
  To sleep until needed again,
  Though never fully tucked away.
Paused, dormant, sitting in the shadows,
  Processing and contemplating.
  Its contents weighed down heavily
  With secrets in its memory.
Shame resides in its now black screen,
Darkened with dents, dings, from its wrongs,
Haunting, in the back of its thoughts.
  Forever they live on inside,
  Eternities pass, none can hide,
No matter the efforts past tried
  To erase them lingering there.
