Fighting the brutal, beaten blue,
twenty-five men relish for home.
Seconds from being swallowed by the raging waters.
Accepting their fates,
they rest with ease.

Blinded, the fiery depths consume the ship.
Prayers escape the lips of the sailors–heard by the Gods.
Standing tall, their savior shines down upon them.
Land is not forsaken.

Navigating through the white caps,
the billowing, golden light guides.
Shouts of glee shake the commands.

Docked in the soft waters,
men gaze–bewildered by the limestone rubble.

Weathered and worn lies a wonder of the world.
