I often sit in my local cafe
and about an hour
of my day
Is spent listening to city pulse
just breathing in
the words that people say
I tend to keep my head covered
so they can't see my ears
drinking in their lives
basking
in their years
A quick read
for a curious mind
the story ends with the exit
and I am left to decide
although
someone dead to me
is still very much
alive.
