"Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass."

The sky gleams, the marshmallow clouds cruising
merrily on the cerulean highway
I lift my chin to gaze at the pastel blue

Marshmallows don’t go with bright blue Gatorade,
I think, pondering silently
Hot chocolate, perhaps. A deep, dark, indulgent cocoa
Certainly not some energy drink

My fingers clutch a steaming mug
and I chuckle light-heartedly in the coincidence
A cup of choco, a sky of choco

I stare into the rich brown and drapes it over the whole world
Space satellites in space will perceive Earth as
The “Chocolate Planet”, not the “Blue Planet”

Marshmallow clouds will cruise merrily on a chocolate highway,
I think, and the decision is made
I shall paint the sky hot chocolate-brown
